The graphics engine that DICE created for this game way back almost 8 years ago still looks great, until you get close up to walls or other materials. The game was smooth, it wa s entertaining, it looked great, the smoke from the gun fire and explosions really played well into making the gun fights challenging when under heavy fire. There are a variety of weapons though you can only carry two at a time. I found my automatic rifle and my sniper rifle to be the best two to carry. The storyline had its moments, though nothing to really brag about.
I did enjoy those moments of humanity during the war segments. I especially liked the helicopter hippy , great character. The sound I found to be excellent. The echo in a room with my shell cassings dropping compared to the sound it makes when you are outside was fantastic. Overall sound was top notch as was the music when it came on.
The game is split between vehicle segments where you control the vehicle and gun, rail segments where you fly or drive but only get to control a gun, and then of course the on foot segments with the aforementioned gun fights. In game i see dozens of servers with active players with pings ranging from 20ms to ms… meaning at a guess there are still active servers all over the world.
